Michalis Zervakis

Michael Zervakis holds a Ph.D. degree from the University of Toronto, Department of Electrical Engineering, since 1990. He joined the Technical University of Crete on January 1995, where he is currently a full professor at the Department of Electronic and Computer Engineering.

Prof. Zervakis is the director of the Digital Image and Signal Processing Laboratory (DISPLAY). His research interests include modern aspects of signal and image processing in biomedical engineering, data mining and pattern recognition, imaging systems and integrated automation systems.

He is the co-author in more than 280 scientific papers in international journals and conference proceedings. He has participated in several national and European research projects and has participated in the scientific committees of several bodies and conferences.
